I have been previewing a lot of Bethesda homes for sale this week and saw this gem!
This house is adorable and in great shape and will be a terrific house for someone who doesn’t need a ton of space but wants what this area has to offer especially at such a good price. I don’t expect it will last long…
It is a small house but for the price it gets you into the Ashburton school district (North Bethesda MS and Walter Johnson HS) and into a house that has two levels of space you can use. There is very little on the market in this price range – only three homes under $600,000 if you are looking in this zip code and only this one that goes to Ashburton. The median price of homes in Bethesda (20817) 2009 was $777,000. So this is significantly below. Last year in this neighborhood the median was a low $475K due to two teardowns that were sold for the value of their land. Average was $525K. As you drive this neighborhood you’ll see the mix of old and new homes, which is always a good sign when you see such development in an area.
Superb location, close to the Ashburton ES, 270, Westfields Shopping Center, the library and downtown Bethesda. Combined with a school system that is highly regarded, this will be hard to beat!
