The nearest general hospitals are Sibley Memorial and Georgetown University Hospital.

Brookmont is home to a highly educated and highly paid workforce, who value the suburban nature of the neighborhood and the proximity to Washington DC. This has contributed to the rise in real estate value.

Because the streets are one way through this tiny enclave of architecturally different homes, it lends a walking "neighborly" feel to the area that is not felt in other subdivisions.  With the view to the Potomac and the superb easy access to DC this is highly sought after real estate.  Picket fences, smaller lots, close together homes and a unity of spirit in the area make for a place that many call home for years on end.  As a result there is not a large amount of turnover and people wait for homes to come up there.

Brookmont Church is prominently positioned within the community and is used locally for dance companies and a pre school.  Parking to get there can be difficult because of the small roads and tucked in nature of this, but it's all part of the charm!

Anytime you are in the community you are likely to see kayakers about to put in on the Potomac since the access is off Virginia Place.  With tennis courts in close proximity and access to The C&O Canal only a hop away, there tends to be an abundance of outdoor living available to the residents here.

Small, very small, bungalows still exist amidst the splendor of many fine examples of unique architecture.  Just about any style you might want is likely to be represented in this small but absolutely wonderful area so many call home…
