Fairway Hills is a neighborhood located in Bethesda, Maryland. It is bordered by Goldsboro Road to the south, and McArthur Boulevard to the west.
Fairway Hills is less than two miles to the Washington DC border via McArthur Boulevard or nearby River Road. The neighborhood has winding, hilly streets among tall, mature trees and well-established homes. It is sought after for its proximity to Glen Echo, central Bethesda and downtown Washington.
Fairway Hills is adjacent to the Glen Echo shopping center, which has a pharmacy, convenience store, sushi and pizza carry-out, gas station, and a hardware store. For large grocery runs and more restaurants, the Shops at Sumner Place is one mile southeast along Sangamore Road.
Bannockburn Elementary School (K-5, Montgomery County Public Schools) is within walking distance from any point in Fairway Hills, with no busy streets to cross. Other cluster schools include Thomas Pyle Middle School and Walt Whitman High School.
Also within the neighborhood is a community pool and Merrimack Park, with an open ballfield and public tennis courts.
In 2010, the median home sold price in Fairway Hills was $700,000. The neighborhood is made up of 133 homes.
