Spring Hill is a neighborhood located in Bethesda, Maryland. It is bordered to the north and east by Massachusetts Avenue, to the west by Little Falls Stream, and to the south by Elliott Road. The legal tax name for the subdivision is Sumner Park.
Spring Hill is a quarter-mile from the Washington DC border via Massachusetts Avenue at Westmoreland Circle. While the majority of the homes are well-established, the quiet streets and hilly, shaded landscape have attracted new home construction and whole-house renovations and updates. It is highly sought-after for its proximity to Friendship Heights, central Bethesda and downtown Washington.
Spring Hill is a short drive from the Shops at Sumner Place and the Westwood shopping complex. Both areas have food shopping options as well as a variety of convenience and specialty shops. The Spring Valley Shops on Massachusetts Avenue within DC (one mile south) are also an attractive shopping option for folks in the neighborhood.
Westbrook Elementary School (K-5, Montgomery County Public Schools) is across Massachusetts Avenue, but is within walking distance of the neighborhood. Other cluster schools include Westland Middle School and Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School.
In 2009, the median home sold price in Spring Hill was $1,540,000. The neighborhood is made up of 82 homes.
