Tulip Hill is a small neighborhood of Bethesda, a wealthy suburb of Washington DC. Like the rest of Bethesda, Tulip Hill is an unincorporated area of Montgomery County, Maryland.
The Tulip Hill subdivision adjoins the neighborhood of Brookmont, and is entered from an exit on Massachusetts Avenue.
Like other neighborhoods in Bethesda, Tulip Hill is home to winding lanes and hilly residential terraces affording good views and numerous trees. However, Tulip Hill is even more densely wooded than other areas in Bethesda, with pockets of dense woodland surviving from the Civil War era.
Real estate in Tulip Hill offers the benefits of being within easy commuting distance to Washington DC, access to highly ranked local schools, and a coveted Bethesda address.
Tulip Hill, which has seen an increase in the number of children in recent years, is served by the Wood Acres Elementary School, Pyle Middle School, and Whitman High School. Tulip Hill is a close-knit community, and organized by an active local citizens association.
The value of Tulip Hill real estate has grown steadily over the years, and is now worth around $1,000,000 per home on average.
Some of the streets in Tulip Hill are Bent Branch Road, Tulip Hill Terrace, and Bay Tree Lane.
